Wednesday Night Rivalry

The Winnipeg Thrashers look to rebound on Wednesday evening as they take on a formidable opponent in the Winnipeg Wild after a being dealt a pair of losses at the hands of the Southwest Cougars over the weekend. This currently leaves the Thrashers with a record of 2-3 for a 9th place position.

The Wild who are currently sitting in 3rd place with 4 wins and 1 shoot out loss are led by a very strong veteran group with 13 returning U18AAA players who will play a very hard two way game.

The Thrashers will not have 15 year old Prabh Bhathal in the lineup as he is making his WHL Debut with the Brandon Wheat Kings and with the injuries to Assistant Captain Ridley Melnyk and Joshua Shaganya, it will be a test for the youthful squad to step up their game away from the puck as much as they love to play on the offensive side of the game.

Rookie netminder Tate Barnaby will be getting the call between the pipes.

Puck drop is 7:15pm at Seven Oaks Red
